Autocuts records with the native macOS capture engine and renders zooms, cursor motion, and camera layouts on the Apple Silicon media pipeline. Building for one architecture keeps capture smooth at high resolutions and frame rates.

Which macOS versions work?

macOS Sonoma 14 or later. If your Mac runs an older release, update macOS first; the app will not launch on earlier versions.

How much disk space do recordings use?

Recordings stay on your Mac, so plan disk space by length and resolution. 4K files grow quickly, and you can delete takes from the library at any time. Exports are separate files in the format you choose; see export and captions.
