Editing

Export the video, keep the captions.

When the edit is done, Autocuts renders on your Mac and writes the files where you can see them.

How to export

1

Pick a format

Choose MP4 (H.264) for the widest compatibility or WebM (VP9) for the web. Resolution options go up to 4K.

2

Render locally

The export renders on your Mac. No queue, no upload, no watermark on licensed exports.

3

Collect the sidecars

With a transcript present, matching .srt and .vtt files are saved next to the video.

Which format should I choose?

MP4 with H.264 plays almost everywhere and is the safe default for YouTube, course platforms, and clients. WebM with VP9 suits web embeds. Both carry the full edit: zooms, cursor effects, and camera layout.

Why sidecar captions instead of burned-in text?

Sidecar files keep the video clean while players, platforms, and viewers control caption display. Upload the SRT or VTT with your video and platforms index the spoken content, which also helps search. Captions come from transcript cleanup, so fix the words once and the captions follow.

Done means files on disk.

Download Autocuts and export 4K video with captions included.
