Keep your face present without covering the product

Use a corner bubble for a quick walkthrough, a side-by-side frame for a lesson, a solo camera shot for an introduction, or a portrait stack for social video.

Camera size, position, and zoom remain editable, so you do not need to place the webcam perfectly before recording.

How to record screen and camera on Mac

The recorder keeps setup short and leaves the visual decisions open for the editing pass.

1

Pick the screen source

Choose a full display, a specific app window, or a custom area. Set a 1, 3, or 5 second countdown.

2

Add camera and audio

Select your webcam and microphone, then include system audio when the demo needs sound from an app.

3

Compose after recording

Pick a camera layout, background, padding, shadow, cursor treatment, and automatic zooms in the studio.

Capture tools for a cleaner take

Voice-paced teleprompter

Keep a script near the camera. It advances while you speak and stays out of the captured video.

Mid-take screen switch

Use a hotkey to change the recorded display without stopping a longer walkthrough.

Local project files

Recordings are written to the Autocuts folder inside Videos on your Mac.

Can Autocuts record system audio and microphone audio?

Yes. On supported macOS versions, Autocuts can capture system audio along with a selected microphone and camera. This is useful for software demos, course lessons, bug reports, and product videos that need both narration and app sound.

What happens after the recording?

The motion studio lets you trim and split clips, change speed, edit automatic click zooms, restyle the cursor, add captions, clean up speech from the transcript, and export MP4 or WebM up to 4K at 60 fps.

Put the screen and presenter in one polished frame.
