Autocuts records a display, app window, or selected area with optional camera, microphone, and system audio. It also records useful editing context such as clicks, cursor position, keys, and speech.
The built-in motion studio uses that context to generate click zooms, redraw a smoother cursor, arrange screen and camera, compose the recording on a background, transcribe speech, build captions, and speed up routine cleanup. Every automatic decision remains editable.
Why recording and editing belong together
A plain video file knows what the pixels look like, but not why the presenter clicked a specific control. When capture and editing live in one workflow, a click can become a zoom, cursor data can become a cleaner path, speech can become a transcript, and the camera can remain flexible after the take.
That means less time rebuilding the same motion by hand and fewer reasons to rerecord a good explanation because one visual choice was wrong.

Autocuts is made for developers, founders, product teams, teachers, course creators, and anyone who explains software from a Mac. Common uses include product demos, release walkthroughs, tutorials, documentation clips, bug reports, course lessons, and async updates.
Local by design
Recordings and project data stay inside Autocuts on your Mac. Editing and export happen in the desktop app. Caption transcription can download a speech model on first use, then runs on the device. The current build does not require an app account or include third-party app analytics.

Autocuts is built for Apple Silicon Macs, with macOS Sonoma 14 or later recommended. You can record, preview, and edit before buying, then unlock transcription, final processing, and export with a $19.99 lifetime license for up to two Macs.
