Which keyboard shortcuts control a recording?
Option+1 starts or stops a screen recording, Option+2 pauses and resumes, Option+3 records a selected area, and Option+4 stops and keeps the take. Do the shortcuts work while another app has focus?
Yes. The shortcuts are global and work system-wide while Autocuts runs, so you can start, pause, and stop a take from inside the app you are demonstrating without showing the recorder in the capture. Combine them with automatic zoom and the recording edits itself while you work.
How does the screen switcher work on a multi-display Mac?
With the switcher open, the left and right arrow keys highlight a display, the space bar switches the recording to it, Return confirms, and Escape cancels. The recording keeps running while you switch, which suits longer walkthroughs that move between displays.
