Get started

Install Autocuts on your Mac.

Autocuts installs like any Mac app: download the DMG, drag the app into Applications, and grant the recording permissions macOS asks for.

Three steps to your first recording

1

Download the app

Get the Apple Silicon DMG from the download page. The download is free, and you can record before you buy a license.

2

Move it to Applications

Open the DMG and drag Autocuts into your Applications folder, then open the app.

3

Grant permissions

macOS asks for Screen Recording the first time you capture the screen, plus Microphone and Camera when you first use those sources.

Which macOS permissions does Autocuts need?

Screen Recording lets the app capture your display, a window, or an area. Microphone covers your voice track, and Camera covers the webcam overlay. macOS owns these switches: you can review or change them at any time under System Settings, Privacy & Security.

Do I need an account or an internet connection?

No account exists to create. Recording, editing, transcription, and export all run on your Mac, and your files never upload anywhere. See how the one-time license works when you are ready to buy.

Ready in about a minute.

Download Autocuts, drag it into Applications, and record your first take.
