Sharing

Share a recording with a link.

Turn a finished video into a free link that plays from your own Google Drive. Nothing uploads until you create the link.

How to create a share link

1

Finish the video

Record, edit, and process the recording in the studio. Only a finished video can be shared.

2

Share from Autocuts

Create the share link. The first time, Autocuts asks to connect your Google Drive, and the finished video uploads there.

3

Send the link

Copy the link and paste it anywhere. The link plays the video from your Drive.

Do recordings upload automatically?

No. Recording, editing, and export run on your Mac, and nothing uploads on its own. A video uploads to your Google Drive only when you create a share link for it. The local workflow page explains what stays on the device.

How do I stop sharing a video?

Remove the video from your Google Drive. The link stops working when the file is gone. You can also manage the file in Drive like any other file you own.

Does sharing cost anything?

No. Share links are free for life. The video is stored in your own Google Drive, so it counts toward your own Drive storage, and Autocuts charges nothing for sharing. The share links feature page explains why this stays free.

Ready to send your first link?

Record the video, finish it in the studio, and share it from your own Drive.
